Our show is designed for you to play along with us on many of the things that we will be doing.
And some of you are registered at our custom-made play-at-home interface.
So you'll notice that there will be viewer ideas brought in during part of the show in real time.
When they registered, they were given an animal and a color to represent them.
So all of us are gonna play together, and some of your ideas will be shown right in the show.
The show is better because of our collaboration.

And yeah, I know a lot of people who wear glasses.

Well, friends, thanks for... That's the song you can sing.
Now that you know it, you can sing it and teach it to some friends, you can change it around.
And our friend, Carlos, wrote that song a long time ago.

That's how it started.
It was a penguin with a hat.

It's time for, Message from Moby.
(upbeat music) - I just learned that sometimes people need eyeglasses to help them see better.
For someone who wears glasses, things might look blurry or fuzzy when they don't have their glasses on.
But when they wear their glasses, it helps them to see perfectly.
Some people wear sunglasses, so that they can see better when the sun is bright outside.
Some people wear them just because they like the way they look.
Yeah, glasses can be pretty helpful.

Man, I tell you, Moby, that Moby, he knows stuff.
Friends, it's time for today's one, two, three sentence story.
Beginning, middle, end.
Let's write a story in three sentences.
In the first sentence, we set the scene; in the second sentence, there's a problem.

But don't worry, in the third sentence, there is a solution.
Okay, share with us a person, place, or thing.
These are also known as nouns.
It works well because we can see a noun typically, right?
And that's where we'll start the stories, with a train.

Okay.
I was so excited to take a train ride to Chicago to visit Jim.
Jim lives near Chicago, friends!
It's true.
Okay, so I'm excited to take this train trip to see you, Jim.
But oh no, there's a problem!
Why?
I just wanna go see Jim and hang out.
Okay, friends, what word will be part of the problem?
It could be anything.
It could be jelly beans, Red Deer thinks.
Okay, I see a problem with jelly beans.
Okay.
I was so excited because I was gonna take a train to go to Chicago to visit Jim.
I was well on my way when a giant jelly bean appeared on the train track and we had to stop.
(sighing) Giant jelly bean, why did you get in the way?
Well, look at me.
(chuckling) Chuk-chuk!
Chuku-chuku-chuku-chuku-chuku!
Chuk-chuk!
Okay, as a jelly bean, how do we solve this problem?
Friends, we need a word to help us out!
What could the possibility be?

I was so excited to get on the train to go visit Jim near Chicago.
Out of nowhere a giant jelly bean landed on the traction.
We were stuck.
I decided to call Princess Willow who turned the jelly bean into a butterfly because then the butterfly could just fly away.
Tu-tu-tu-tu-tu-tu-tu-tu-tu!
(chuckling) Jim, I can still come visit.
- [Jim] Hooray!
(chuckling) You must know people in high places that they're letting you drive the train.
That's pretty cool.
(Wimee chuckling) - That's a good point.
The illustration does have me in charge of the train.
Man, what should we call my train?
The Wimee, oh, the... - The Wimee Express.
- Wimee Express.
Ah, all aboard!
Who wants to go along to see Jim?
Oh, look at that!
Princess Willow is working on how to turn that giant jelly bean into a butterfly.
(sighing) I wonder if the butterfly wants.
We should... May I invite the butterfly to come over too, Jim?
- [Jim] Yeah, I think it would be great.
I would love to see a giant butterfly.
- Yeah.
What can we do when we get there?
- [Jim] Uh, we're gonna play games- - Ugh!
- For sure.
- Cool, all right.
- [Jim] Maybe the giant butterfly could help us fly a kite 'cause I always have a hard time getting the kite up into the air.
- Yeah.
- [Jim] So I'm thinking, if we had a giant butterfly who could help carry it up in the air just to get it started.
- That's so true.
- That would be really helpful.
- That is so good.

- And today, we are going to power up our hearts and our minds by practicing gratitude.
Gratitude is the warm feeling of thankfulness we get for someone or something.
We practice gratitude because it helps us focus on the good things and the good people- - Yes.
- In our lives.
- Nice.
- One way to practice gratitude is to say out loud what you're thankful for, and why you're thankful for it- - Oh!
- Like this.
I am thankful for Wimee because (chuckling) Wimee makes me laugh.
(Wimee and Jessica chuckling) - Thank you, Miss Jessica.
- Now when we don't practice gratitude, we're kind of like this empty balloon.
- Hmm.
- But the moment you start saying what you're thankful for, your heart and your mind begin to fill up with positive thoughts.
(balloon pump buzzing) (Jessica chuckling) And those positive thoughts feels so good.
They give you lots of energy, and they're kind of like a- - Oh, I feel it!

- Yeah.
- What's something you're grateful for?
- Hmm, uh, I'm thankful for pickles, specifically bread and butter pickles because I love them on cheese sandwiches.
(Wimee chuckling) - Ugh!

(Wimee and Jessica chuckling) - Oh, I am also thankful for you, Miss Jessica, because you're so positive.

- I'm looking forward to getting my eyes checked today, but first I think my eyes need to check out this book.
(upbeat music) - I have a super-silly book here with me today.
This is called "Philomena's New Glasses."
Now as you can see, Philomena is a guinea pig, and check out all the funky glasses she has here on the cover of this.
This is so silly.
And as we open the book, we see Philomena and Audrey and Nora Jane, those are her two sisters.
And we follow them as they each get glasses and funky handbags.
And this book just made me laugh the entire time that I was reading it.
So I highly encourage you to check out this book.
(upbeat music) - Philomena, I love that name.
It looks so cool with the photographs too.
I think it was illustrated using photographs.

- It's pretty big, so it was pretty easy to find really.

- But then for something small, I found- - Ugh!
- These little, (Wimee mumbling) little bitty glasses.
- They're so teeny.
- And then for transparent, I go, hey, this is cool, I've got- - Ugh!
- A ruler that's transparent.
- I see right through it.
- So you can see that the numbers are kind of on there but- - Oh, yeah.
- Yeah.
- Nice!
You could measure how tall (Jim mumbling) that egg is too maybe.

- Maybe I should do that.

- Yeah, very special for a ruler, I guess, yeah.

- Normally they're a foot long- - Yeah.
- But, yep.
- That's a bonus size.
- [Jim] Hmm, mm-hmm.
- Hey, anything that stood out (bell ringing) to you on today's show?
- [Jim] Yeah, that a lot of us wear glasses.
- That's true.
- [Jim] And that there's a lot of fun, different colors and different sizes and things, and that those of us who wear glasses are very grateful that we have them 'cause they- - Oh yeah.
- Help us see.
- Yeah.
I'm fortunate.
I think I take that for granted sometimes that, I think my eyes must be programmed to work efficiently.
