(pea-rexes growling) Join us as we follow the adventures of Ginger, a young tricarrotops, and her unlikely little friends, three baby pea-rexes, Wasabi, Split, and Minty, as they discover the many wonders that exist in this vast valley!

This is Ginger and the "Vegesaurs"!

(gentle music) (playful laughter) (bright music) - [Ginger] Five, six- - [Narrator] Playtime keeps young Vegesaurs fit and alert.

- Okay, who wants a squawberry?

- Me!

- Me!

(Minty laughs) - Nine, 10.

(Pea-Rexes squabbling) (air whistling) (Pea-Rexes groan) Oops!

- [Narrator] And sometimes, playing can lead to new discoveries.

- What are you looking at?

(Pea-Rexes grunt inquisitively) Ooh!

What is that, a rock?

Hmm, no, not as hard as a rock.

(they sniff) (curious music) (hollow tapping) Sounds hollow, but what's inside?

(Wasabi grunts) (curious music) (heartbeat thuds softly) (gasps) A heartbeat!

Oh, it must be an egg!

We'd better leave it alone.

We wouldn't want to hurt it.

(branches rustling) Huh?

(suspenseful music) (air whistling) (stick clunks) - Eh?

- On second thoughts, maybe we move it to a safer place.

(light busy music) (Pea-Rexes grunting) Oh, okay, you carry it.

And I'll take the ball.

(Pea-Rexes straining) - Oh.

- Hmm... Now what?

(scampering music) What are you guys doing?

Oh, are you keeping it warm?

That's nice!

(cosy music) - [Narrator] An egg needs to be kept warm for it to hatch.

This is called incubation, and the Pea-Rexes instinctively know what to do.

(egg judders) (they grunt) Wow, it's hatching... (egg shell cracking) right now!

- [Narrator] The process can take hours!

Or mere seconds.

- Huh!

Oh!

(chaotic music) (paws scurrying) (chaotic music) - Huh?

Hmm.

(egg thumps) (it squawks) - Whoa!

What are you?

- [Narrator] It's an Avocadodon.

(Avocadodon squawks) - Okay, er, I'm Ginger, and this is Minty, Wasabi and Split.

- Hiya!

- Hello!

(Avocadodon squawks sharply) - Oh!

- Ah, ah, ah.

- Ouch!

Are you okay?

That must have hurt.

(Avocadodon squawks) - [Narrator] Avocadodons butt heads with trees and other objects to shake loose food.

- I think we need to get this guy back to where he belongs.

- Mm-hm!

(Avocadodon squawks) (distant squawks) - Huh?

Can anybody else hear that?

(distant squawks) Hey, excuse me?

(Avocadodon squawks) Hi!

Would you like us to help you find your home?

I heard something that sounds just like you.

Huh?

(Avocadodon squawks) Oh, you want this?

(Avocadodon squawks) (playful music) Ah-ha!

New plan, time for a game of keepie-uppie.

Lead the way to the jungle park!

- [Pea-Rexes] Yippee!

(Ginger laughs) (playful music) Woo!

(giggles) Okay.

The herd's got to be here somewhere.

(distant squawking) Huh?

(glorious music) - Oh!

(Avocadodon squawks) (herd squawking) (they laugh) - That's it, off you go.

- Whee!

(herd squawking) - [Narrator] Lowering its head like this is a gesture of thanks.

- Oh!

You're welcome.

(Ginger laughs) All good, keep the ball!

(Pea-Rexes gibber and laugh) (gentle music) (gentle orchestral music) (exciting music) - [Narrator] Tomatodons are joyful creatures who are always up for some bouncy fun.

They love nothing more than indulging in a tasty meal after a long game.

(tomatodon burps) (Wasabi grunts) And have developed an extremely long tongue that helps them taste anything within tongue shot.

(tomatodons slurping) (dinosaurs laughing) Tomatodons travel throughout the seasons but springtime in particular can often be a tricky time for them.

The air's high pollen count does not agree with their sensitive noses and causes extreme sneezing.

Their bouncy bodies are not equipped to handle such force, (tomatodons laughing) sometimes making their migrations more difficult than expected.

(gentle orchestral music) (exciting music) There's a heat wave in the valley, and all the vegesaurs are feeling particularly hot and bothered.

- So thirsty.

(sombre music) - [Narrator] It's so hot that this waterfall has become more of a water drip.

(Ginger panting) (Wasabi slurps) (Ginger groans) (sombre music continues) - Oh no, the lake's dried up too.

(Ginger gasps) Just make sure that you leave some for me.

Still thirsty?

(majestic music) Tell me you're seeing what I'm seeing.

(majestic music continues) Come on, water!

(gentle music) (Ginger gasps) - Whoa!

- [Narrator] It's a baby watermelonsuchus, which usually lives in a deep water habitat.

- It must have gotten stuck when the lake dried up.

We've gotta help it.

Hi, I'm Ginger and these are my friends.

We're here to get you back in the water.

I hope you're feeling strong.

(pea rexes chattering) One, two, three.

- [Narrator] In extreme conditions, these vegesaurs band together to help one another whilst the bananaraptors cause trouble.

(suspenseful music) (bananaraptors chatter) (Ginger groans) - We're not strong enough.

Wait, I think I can dig a path to the water so you can slide straight in.

- [Narrator] Tricarrotops' strong legs make them excellent diggers.

(upbeat music) (Ginger groans) - Getting there.

(suspenseful music) (bananaraptor chattering) (bananaraptor slurping) (mud splashes) (bananaraptors chattering) (suspenseful music continues) - Huh?

- [Narrator] The fierce heat makes the bananaraptors slower than usual, but there's still a threat.

- Uh oh, we need to move quickly.

Minty, Wasabi, split.

Oh, I couldn't see you.

Hey, that gives me an idea.

If they can't see us, they might leave us alone.

(mud splatters) (whimsical music) (mud splatters) You got me?

(mud splatters) Okay, everyone, hold still.

(bananaraptors chattering) (Ginger laughs) - [Narrator] Ginger's plan has worked.

These bananaraptors are going home hungry.

- Woo hoo.

Whoa, whoa, whoa!

(whimsical music) (water splashes) (Ginger laughs) - Ready, steady.

(Ginger grunts) Slide.

(water splashes) (watermelonsuchus sprays) Mudslide!
