About the Hispanic Heritage Awards
Celebrate Latino culture and impact with the 38th Hispanic Heritage Awards – honoring: actor and comedian Cheech Marin (Arts Award); NPR journalist and co-host of Alt.Latino Felix Contreras (Journalism Award); Oscar-nominated actress and activist Rosie Perez (Leadership Award); record-breaking Mexican pop icon Gloria Trevi (Legend Award); founder and CEO of textured haircare brand Rizos Curls Julissa Prado (Entrepreneurship Award); and reggaetón star and visionary Rauw Alejandro (Vision Award).
With performances by celebrated pop vocalist DannyLux; freestyle icon Lisa Lisa, celebrating 40 years of her hit single, “I Wonder If I Take You Home;” singer and saxophonist RaiNao; Legend Award honoree Gloria Trevi; and Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Daymé Arocena paying tribute to Celia Cruz and Journalism Award honoree Felix Contreras.
With appearances by Paulina Chávez, Julian Works, Steve Berlin of Los Lobos, René Farrait and Janvier Flores of Menudo, Ivette Rodriguez, Richard “Crazy Legs” Colón, Spike Lee, Gina Torres, MJ Acosta-Ruiz, and Ivy Queen.
