Learn Moreabout PBS online sponsorship(upbeat music) - Season 10, a decade for Mr. Robson Green.
A whole decade.
- 10 series, I've worn the same suit, had the same look.
By Jove it works.
I still haven't solved a crime.
I accuse three people every episode of murder and the vicar always gets it.
- It's really extraordinary being on Season 10.
- I didn't think I'd be here for two years let alone 10.
It's crazy.
- 10 years, it's bizarre because when I started this job, it was two episodes in Series 4.
- Who'd have thought?
When we started day one, Series 1, Robson Green said, Tessa, we'll be on our Zimmer frames and we'll still be doing it.
And we all laughed, roared with laughter.
- My initial thoughts 11 years later is that I was in my thirties and now I'm in my forties.
And I was saying to Ollie, who plays Daniel, we're gonna be gray when we finish this.
Or bald or, I don't know.
It's a gift that we've got 10.
Not many shows get that much.
So I think we're just really lucky.
- One of the reasons it's so successful and such a big hit all over the world is because we have two people who've been there from the start at the other side of the lens.
And that's Emma Kingsman-Lloyd, the executive producer, and of course Daisy Coulam, the writer, without whom we are all speechless.
- The best thing about "Grantchester" is the people.
You come on set and every day is a real joy.
- It's been my favorite job, easily my favorite job.
I have fond memories from every single series.
- Everyone's a big family and everyone's really close.
And it's just full of laughter and joy.
Been really grateful to be back and to share this experience with all these wonderful people.
- 10 years on, a decade, and we're still doing it.
And the public each year seem to like it more and more.
- This one day, three busloads of Americans turn up in Grantchester just expecting a photograph outside the vicarage.
Well, would you believe it?
We're all there.
They go crazy.
I went over to chat to them and they were lovely, but they all got their phones out and they, this guy went, hey Geordie, come on.
Say Christ on a bike.
He Geordie, say Christ on a bike.
And I went, Christ on a bike.
Woo, yeah man, we love you!
We love you.
It was delightful and quite emotive, I have to say.
Because they were genuinely in love with the series.
It meant a lot to them.
And it has had a profound effect, not only on us and the people who make it, but people who watch it as well.
